Job description

Overview

Join our dedicated environmental team in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and contribute directly to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. GFL Environmental is looking for a diligent Truck Washer to play an essential role in supporting truck upkeep and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean trucks and equipment with pressure washers in designated wash bay areas.
  • Move trucks between parking spots and wash bays to ensure smooth washing operations.
  • Maintain records and complete administrative tasks related to washing activities.
  • Keep the truck washing area tidy and orderly.
  • Assist mechanics by picking up parts and supporting activities in the shop area.
  • Operate truck components such as raising the cab or body as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to all relevant federal, provincial/state, and local regulations as well as internal company policies and supervisor instructions.
  • Carry out additional duties assigned by management as necessary.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 1 to 3 months of related experience is desired, although not required.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is necessary; a Class Three license is advantageous but not essential.
