Opportunity
We invite you to join our team supporting key client accounts at multiple sites across the Roma region. As a Transport Scheduler, you will be instrumental in arranging waste collection and disposal services, ensuring customers receive safe, compliant, and efficient waste management solutions. Your role involves collaborating closely with operations personnel, drivers, and customers to oversee daily scheduling, assign appropriate equipment for each task, and maintain continuity of essential services throughout regional Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize waste collection requests across around 15 locations, guaranteeing timely execution within agreed service windows.
- Assign suitable vehicles and equipment tailored to specific waste streams, including both liquid and solid types, while adhering to compliance standards.
- Serve as a liaison among drivers, workshop teams, disposal sites, and operational stakeholders to optimize collection and disposal processes.
- Undertake occasional site inspections to evaluate non-standard or high-volume waste scenarios and formulate practical collection strategies.
- Track job progression and completion meticulously, maintaining precise records and ensuring service delivery is safe, efficient, and free from scheduling mistakes.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in scheduling, transport coordination, logistics, or fleet management roles.
- Solid knowledge or rapid comprehension ability of Roma regional geography, including site locations and transit routes.
- Highly organized with sharp attention to detail and capability to juggle multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
- Practical and technically astute, with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and devising solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, confidence in inquiry, and talent for fostering effective relationships with clients, drivers, and operational teams.
