Role Purpose
We are seeking a Trade Relationship Coordinator to bolster the delivery of the Te Mahi Ngatahi contract and scheduled maintenance initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with operational managers, subcontractors, and Kainga Ora to guarantee adequate trade resources, strong contractor partnerships, and efficient maintenance services aimed at enhancing homes and communities throughout New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with onboarding, engaging, and managing subcontractors and trade partners consistently.
- Help ensure a sufficiently resourced subcontractor network aligned with programme needs.
- Facilitate coordination of trade resource availability and support scheduling tasks.
- Foster and sustain constructive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, Kainga Ora, and internal teams.
- Oversee compliance documentation, certifications, and health and safety standards.
- Provide support for subcontractor training involving BGIS systems and technology tools.
- Contribute to KPI reporting, data monitoring, and operational performance analytics.
- Engage in stakeholder communication efforts, including newsletters and continuous improvement activities.
Education, Experience & Skills Required
- At least three years’ experience in administrative, coordination, or similar support roles.
- Excellent organization skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven experience working with external stakeholders, suppliers, or contractors.
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priority tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various business systems.
- Effective problem-solving skills coupled with a proactive work attitude.
- Capability to collaborate well across both operational and administrative teams.
Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with facilities management, maintenance, construction, or trade sectors.
- Understanding of subcontractor management and contractor engagement procedures.
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance standards.
- Experience supporting operational or project delivery teams is a plus.
- Exposure to social housing, government, or community-based contracts.
