The position manages compensation programs, incentive structures, merit reviews, benefits offerings, and provides analytical support on workforce economics.

This role holds accountability for governancing executive compensation, including formulating and administering executive pay packages, incentive schemes, and handling Board-level compensation activities. As a vital collaborator with senior leadership, including the CHRO, CFO, CEO, and Remuneration Committee, the Director offers market intelligence, analytics, and governance advice to ensure executive pay aligns with strategy, shareholder expectations, and regulatory standards.

The selected candidate will enhance AutoStore's capacity to attract and retain critical talent while fostering sustainable growth and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CHRO, CFO, and CEO to shape executive reward policies consistent with business priorities and shareholder interests.
  • Lead HR support for the Remuneration Committee by preparing materials, analyses, recommendations, and governance documents.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market trend analysis regarding executive compensation, investor sentiments, and governance trends.
  • Administer annual executive pay reviews, evaluate incentive program outcomes, and manage executive employment terms.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations and disclosure requirements relevant to executive compensation.
  • Oversee global compensation and benefits frameworks, including job architecture.
  • Guide salary benchmarking, pay structure development, and assessments of internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Manage incentive, bonus, and performance-based reward systems.
  • Direct annual merit increase processes.
  • Partner with Finance, HR Business Partners, and leadership on workforce planning and economic analysis.
  • Maintain compliance with compensation governance and regulations.
  • Own strategies for employee well-being and total rewards.

Qualifications

  • 8 to 12+ years experience in compensation, benefits, rewards, or workforce strategy within a global corporate environment.
  • Expertise in supporting Board-level compensation discussions and Remuneration Committee operations.
  • Deep understanding of executive pay design including short and long-term incentive mechanisms.
  • Proficient in executive compensation benchmarking and market analysis.
  • Familiar with public company compensation governance, regulatory disclosures, and shareholder expectations.
  • Strong presentation skills for conveying complex compensation data and recommendations to senior leaders and boards.
  • Experience with global compensation systems, benefits frameworks, and incentive/performance programs.
  • Functioning as an HRIS subject matter expert for compensation and reward processes, governance, reporting, and continual improvements.
  • Strong analytical, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Background in designing rewards strategies within competitive fields such as technology, software, automation, robotics, engineering, or similar sectors reliant on specialized talent.
