About the Role
We seek an experienced Solutions Consultant to join AutoStore's Solutions team in Sydney. This role serves as a primary technical consultant for customers, partners, and strategic accounts by supporting opportunities through thorough technical analysis, simulations, designing systems, and recommending effective solutions. You will also facilitate partner knowledge growth and assist customers in integrating AutoStore technologies within their broader logistics frameworks.
Working within a compact regional team, you will have autonomy and significant influence over market development, supported by our global Solutions network and collaboration with Commercial, Product, and R&D teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire solution design process, converting customer requirements into validated solutions via operational analysis, material flow modelling, simulations, 3D renderings, and client presentations.
- Gain a deep understanding of AutoStore's technologies, products, and integration approaches to craft solutions aligned with customer needs and logistics expertise.
- Support key strategic and enterprise prospects by developing validated solution concepts, providing rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates, ROI inputs, and technical advisement throughout the sales process.
- Deliver education and enablement through training, technical support, product updates, and sharing best practices to empower customers and partners to develop effective AutoStore solutions independently.
- Travel within the Asia-Pacific region as required for engagement with customers, partners, and internal teams, including adaptability to various time zones.
Qualifications
- More than 10 years of experience in solution design, technical consulting, warehouse automation, intralogistics, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
- Excellent analytical capabilities to translate operational data and customer needs into scalable, viable commercial solutions.
- Proven expertise constructing customer-facing solution proposals utilizing simulations, visualizations, cost analyses, and well-organized technical documentation.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience supporting commercial teams and strategic customers throughout sales cycles.
- Background with warehouse and logistics operations, preferably including Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), material flow, sorting, and packaging technologies.
- A collaborative, customer-centric mindset comfortable with working across regional teams and providing training and technical guidance to partners and stakeholders.
