Role Overview
Salt is collaborating with a prominent UAE-based financial services firm to recruit a seasoned Threat Intelligence Manager for a 12-month contract, with potential for extension. This leadership position demands hands-on involvement in developing and enhancing the organization's threat intelligence capabilities. The successful candidate will oversee identification, analysis, and communication of cyber threats to provide actionable intelligence that bolsters security defenses and safeguards vital information.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the Threat Intelligence team and functions continuously.
- Adopt and implement a proactive intelligence-driven approach to identifying emerging cyber threats.
- Profile threat actors and examine their tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Perform malware analysis, reverse engineering, and digital forensic investigations.
- Integrate threat intelligence outputs with Security Operations Center (SOC) and Incident Response workflows.
- Produce detailed intelligence reports and presentations tailored for technical staff and executive leadership.
- Deploy and oversee Threat Intelligence Platforms and related technologies.
- Engage and collaborate with external intelligence-sharing communities and partners.
- Maintain integrity, storage, and chain of custody for digital evidence.
- Supervise specialist external security vendors.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years of professional experience in threat intelligence and cyber threat analysis.
- Demonstrated experience working within large, complex, or highly regulated sectors, particularly financial services.
- Practical skills in malware examination, reverse engineering, and computer forensics.
- Proficient with Threat Intelligence Platforms and their SOC integration.
- In-depth knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and the Diamond Model.
- Experience utilizing OSINT methods, commercial threat intelligence feeds, and forensic software like EnCase.
- Familiarity with standards and compliance requirements including ISO 27001, NESA, PCI DSS, and SWIFT.
- Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Certifications such as GCTI, CTIA, CISSP, CISM, GCFA, GREM, or ENCE are highly advantageous.
