Position Overview
The Territory Service Representative (TSR) in Operations is tasked with ensuring prompt pickup and delivery of shipments within designated territories, upholding superior customer service standards and representing the Blue Dart brand professionally. This role includes shipment handling, timely collections including cash on delivery (COD), acquisition of proof of delivery (POD), and compliance with operational protocols. TSR collaborates with shift in-charges and branch teams to meet service commitments while maintaining safety and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute timely pickup and delivery of customer shipments on assigned routes.
- Verify shipment details before handling to avoid errors.
- Handle shipments carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Maintain productivity and efficiency on delivery routes.
- Engage with customers professionally, addressing basic inquiries and escalating concerns as necessary.
- Collect and accurately handle COD payments, ensuring timely remittance according to company procedures.
- Obtain necessary documentation such as POD and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
- Accurately scan shipments using handheld or approved digital devices and update status in real time.
- Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines during all operations.
- Maintain and operate assigned vehicles responsibly, ensuring roadworthy condition and valid documentation.
- Demonstrate discipline, punctuality, and represent the Blue Dart brand positively through professional conduct.
- Collaborate effectively with shift in-charges and operational teams to support branch productivity goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational qualification: 10th grade pass; higher education is advantageous.
- Experience: Freshers or up to 2 years of relevant experience in courier, logistics, distribution, or field operations preferred.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Valid driving license for two-wheeler or four-wheeler vehicles.
- Owns a two-wheeler if deployment requires personal vehicle use, complying with company policy.
- Physically fit to perform field activities.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in pickup and delivery operations and accurate shipment handling.
- Capable of handling cash collections and managing proof of delivery documentation.
- Skilled in using mobile devices and scanners for shipment tracking.
