Job description
Context and Environment
As a Territory Manager, you will oversee multiple service stations within the designated territory ensuring comprehensive documentation, operational excellence, and continuous staff training. You will track station visits meticulously using the Retail call report book and Salsa Dynamics system, ensuring observations are documented and followed by thorough action plans to address any gaps.
Quality, Service and Training
- Ensure seamless implementation of Top Service standards across all stations, including regular staff training to achieve predefined performance targets.
- Review service quality regularly with station dealers and drive necessary corrective measures.
- Identify training requirements and coordinate continuous on-site and specialized training with the Training Manager covering areas such as HSSE, HACCP, VPHSR, Golden Team Challenge, sales skills, lubricants product knowledge, Compliance and Ethics, Commercial Development, and more.
- Promote the effective use of Salsa Dynamics for station information logging, activity tracking, action plans, checklists, and generating weekly call reports.
Management and Profitability
- Verify all stations have valid contracts and insurance, ensuring compliance with government regulations and contractual obligations.
- Monitor station activities to enforce statutory compliance and ensure all dealers have current Due Diligence and Economic Sanctions clearance.
- Drive financial health by monitoring and improving station profitability through real and projected P&L analyses, implementing measurable corrective actions as needed.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of dealer accounts and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare, review, and circulate comprehensive monthly reports covering financial status, stock control (fuels, lubricants, solar, car care products), profit and loss versus forecast, safety, compliance, and risk assessments.
Operations and Stock Control
- Coordinate with CSC and Depot teams to plan and supervise timely product deliveries, ensuring no stock-outs.
- Manage and safeguard company assets with routine inspections and maintenance coordination alongside Operations.
- Conduct monthly reviews of stock discrepancies between actual and theoretical records using DSSRs and implement loss prevention measures.
Commercial Responsibilities
- Lead all retail sales activities within the territory, aiming to sustainably increase sales volume, market share, and margins in fuels, lubricants, solar, and shop functions.
- Ensure adherence to group marketing strategies, tailoring them to local market conditions and initiating approved localized activities.
- Implement sales improvement policies aligned with company objectives, overseeing performance monitoring and strategy execution in all service stations.
Commercial Development and Project Management
- Support dealers in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities while tracking competitor activities and regulatory changes monthly.
- Boost diversification through shop planning, merchandising, training, and activities in shops consistent with affiliate and group standards.
- Drive growth in card payment penetration at stations via training and customer engagement for both business-to-consumer and business-to-business segments.
- Identify and pursue new station development opportunities within the territory consistent with affiliate goals.
Candidate Profile
- Holds at least a Marketing or Technical degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Has 2 to 3 years of experience in commercial, marketing, or business management, either direct or indirect.
- Demonstrates strong articulation, analytical thinking, customer orientation, self-motivation, leadership ability, and autonomy.
- Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills along with high integrity and teamwork capabilities.
