Role Summary
As a Termite Technician, you will be the first line of defense against wood-destroying pests, responsible for inspecting, preventing, and treating termite issues to help safeguard customer properties, providing peace of mind and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose termite presence and behaviors to determine appropriate remedial actions.
- Safely conduct termite treatment services following company protocols and product instructions.
- Apply anti-termite treatments as scheduled, adhering to safety standards and label directions.
- Inform customers about conditions conducive to termite activity, discuss treatment options and potential structural modifications.
- Ensure job specifications match each work order.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment effectively.
- Complete production documentation detailing services rendered.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding services provided.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Adapt to various environmental conditions including seasonal weather, damp or dusty areas.
- Prepare job sites for treatment procedures.
- Enter confined spaces and crawl areas; climb on roofs, ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.
- Comfortable working at heights, up to 20 feet on ladders, and within tight spaces.
- Experience with general labor skills such as carpentry, cement work, roofing, gutters, and attics is beneficial.
- Physically active work involving sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and navigating stairs and scaffolding regularly.
- Use required personal protective equipment including OSHA-compliant respirators; work in confined or narrow spaces frequently.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Clean-shaven face required for respirator safety seal.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year customer service experience; pest control or termite experience preferred.
- Attention to detail with a desire to learn and adapt.
- Flexible availability including Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
- Required licenses or certifications as mandated by federal, state, or local authorities will be provided.
- Basic math proficiency to follow mixing instructions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage between $18.00 and $23.00, influenced by location, skills, education, and experience.
