About the Role

As a Termite Technician, you play a vital role in safeguarding customers' properties from wood-destroying organisms through inspections, prevention, and treatment services that ensure peace of mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose termite infestations by understanding termite behavior and recommend appropriate remediation steps.
- Carry out termite treatments safely, following company protocols and procedures.
- Apply anti-termite solutions to structures in line with schedules, safety standards, and label directions.
- Communicate with customers regarding conditions that support termite activity and discuss potential procedural or structural adjustments as needed.
- Confirm that work orders specify correct job requirements before commencing services.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment used for termite control.
- Complete detailed production and service documentation accurately.
- Interact with customers professionally, explaining the treatments provided.
Essential Job Functions
- Adapt to various environmental conditions, including seasonal weather and damp or dusty areas.
- Prepare sites adequately before applying treatments.
- Access and navigate structures, crawl spaces, roofs, ladders, and confined areas safely.
- Comfortably work at heights up to 20 feet and in tight spaces where pests reside.
- Experience or knowledge in general labor tasks such as carpentry, cement work, roofing, gutters, and attic maintenance is advantageous.
- Engage in physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as required.
- Use personal protective gear such as OSHA-compliant respirators and work safely in constrained environments.
Candidate Requirements
- Must maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure proper respirator seal.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of customer service experience; prior termite control experience is a benefit.
- Demonstrate keen attention to detail and a strong desire to learn.
- Show flexibility in working hours, typically Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.
- Obtain necessary licenses or certificates as required, which the company will facilitate.
- Basic math proficiency to follow instructions for mixing products and measurements accurately.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting hourly wage ranges from $19.00 to $21.00, influenced by location, skills, education, and experience. Total compensation may include overtime, incentives, commissions, and performance-based rewards.
