Technology Strategy & Innovation Director

Overview

The Technology Strategy & Innovation Director is a leadership role aimed at defining and governing the organization's technology strategy. This position directs the planning, portfolio and project management practices to align technology initiatives with business goals, driving sustainable growth through innovation and architecture governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic technology plans aligning with business priorities and organizational objectives.
• Translate strategic goals into actionable projects, programs, and measurable outcomes.
• Establish governance frameworks to oversee execution, risk management, and benefits realization.
• Lead the Enterprise Project Management Office, standardizing project, program, and portfolio management methodologies and monitoring delivery performance.
• Promote benefits realization and value management across initiatives, ensuring alignment with budgets and resources.
• Develop and govern innovation frameworks, manage pipelines, pilot programs, and foster a culture of continuous innovation.
• Oversee enterprise architecture policies ensuring compliance and alignment with technology investments and modernization efforts including cloud, AI, and digital transformation.
• Lead and grow teams in strategy, PMO, innovation, and architecture; define organizational models and performance goals fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety, quality, and information security standards to maintain data integrity and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields is required.
• Master's degree such as MBA or MSc is preferred.
• Certifications in Project, Program & Portfolio Management and TOGAF are desirable.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years in strategy, PMO, technology architecture, digital transformation, or related leadership roles.
• At least 5 years in senior leadership managing enterprise-wide strategic initiatives or portfolios.
• Strong background in strategic planning, portfolio and benefits management, and enterprise architecture.
• Experience collaborating with executive teams and governance committees.
