Mobile Developer

Overview

This position is focused on supporting and advancing mobile application solutions within the Shared Technology Services unit. The developer will contribute by implementing approved features, resolving technical issues, supporting system integrations, and ensuring dependable mobile application delivery. Working collaboratively with senior developers and technical teams, the individual will translate requirements into functional mobile application components, following designated mobile platforms and abiding by coding standards, documentation protocols, and information security guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehend assigned business and technical needs and clarify mobile app behaviors with senior developers and stakeholders.
• Convert approved requirements into clear development assignments, implementation procedures, and technical notes within agreed scope.
• Build and enhance mobile application features on approved platforms such as Flutter, native iOS, or native Android.
• Write reusable, maintainable, and secure code, adhering to development standards and team guidance.
• Implement mobile screen layouts, flows, and UI elements consistent with UX/UI designs and application standards.
• Support enhancements to usability, responsiveness, navigation, and uniformity across various devices and platforms.
• Integrate mobile components with APIs, backend services, identity solutions, and internal systems as needed.
• Collaborate with senior developers and teams to address interface problems, data exchange errors, and technical dependencies.
• Investigate defects, performance issues, crashes; assist in fixing them under senior developer guidance.
• Engage in debugging and provide status updates on issue resolution and technical constraints.
• Produce clear, maintainable code that satisfies development, security, and performance requirements.
• Participate in peer code reviews, address feedback, and support refactoring or technical improvements when necessary.
• Assist in mobile application release preparations, including task completion, readiness verification, and supplying technical inputs.
• Help prepare release notes, document implementation details, track known issues, and coordinate post-release fixes.
• Maintain technical documentation, configuration notes, development references, and records of implementation work.
• Share knowledge and best mobile development practices to promote team learning and consistent delivery.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, quality, safety, environmental, and information security standards to ensure controlled, safe, and secure work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field.
• Certifications or training in mobile development technologies (Flutter, iOS, Android), APIs, or secure coding are advantageous.
• Between zero and two years of relevant experience in mobile or software development roles involving mobile platforms and application delivery.
