Job description
Overview
This role focuses on supporting the organization's implementation and operationalization of Data Management frameworks. It contributes significantly to enhancing data quality, managing metadata, maintaining enterprise data catalogs, and enforcing data governance processes. The Consultant ensures that data assets are accurate, accessible, discoverable, and compliant with organizational policies, supporting business users in leveraging trusted and governed data effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor data quality standards and controls to identify and resolve data inconsistencies and integrity issues.
- Maintain and enhance the enterprise data catalog by cataloging business and technical metadata to optimize data discoverability and classification.
- Manage metadata across systems by adhering to standards, filling documentation gaps, and supporting metadata governance activities.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and collaborate with stakeholders to address governance findings and cultivate improvements.
- Create and maintain documentation including data definitions, data lineage, business glossaries, and other data management records aligned with corporate standards.
- Conduct data analysis and validation to detect trends, problems, and opportunities, thereby improving overall data reliability.
- Work alongside business and technical teams to facilitate data stewardship, promote governance practice adoption, and communicate requirements effectively.
- Drive continuous enhancements in data management processes, tools, and governance maturity contributing to a data-driven organizational culture.
- Adhere to all departmental policies, safety regulations, and information security standards to maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and a safe work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related fields.
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in areas related to Data Analytics, Data Quality, Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Management.
