Technology Manager - Legal Applications, Integrations, and Data

The company is undergoing a strategic separation to become a standalone entity, poised to become one of the largest orthopaedics companies worldwide, serving around seven million patients annually in a $50 billion+ market. The newly formed India Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru is foundational in driving enterprise technology, digital transformation, and innovation to support global operations and improve patient care.

Role Summary

As a Technology Manager specializing in Legal Applications, Integrations, and Data, you will helm the strategy, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide legal and compliance technology solutions. You will ensure the synchronization and security of data flows linking these applications with the broader IT environment. This leadership position requires collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders including Legal, Compliance, Data, ERP, Security, and Architecture teams to foster scalable and resilient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the roadmap, delivery cycles, and maintenance of legal applications, integration layers, and data capabilities in line with business strategies and architecture standards.
• Architect and oversee integrations covering matter management, contract lifecycle, eDiscovery, document repositories, compliance tools, vendor interfaces, and other legal enterprise applications.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Security, ERP, and Architecture stakeholders to convert business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Lead governance over data flows within legal systems, ensuring accuracy, security, traceability, compliance, and appropriate access controls.
• Manage the development and support of APIs, middleware, data pipelines, and interfaces connecting enterprise SaaS platforms and SAP ecosystems including ECC and S/4HANA.
• Oversee the entire delivery lifecycle encompassing design, testing, deployment, release management, monitoring, support, and continuous process improvements.
• Address complex challenges in integration and data compatibility through detailed analysis, performance monitoring, and corrective actions.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, system integrators, and partners ensuring quality, service, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with strategic priorities.
• Maintain thorough documentation of architecture, integration specifications, data mappings, governance policies, and reporting standards for the portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field is essential; master's degree in technical or business disciplines is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in enterprise applications, systems integration, data integration, or application delivery with leadership roles in large-scale technology projects.
• Demonstrated expertise managing enterprise applications and integration across legal/compliance platforms, SaaS solutions, databases, and ERP environments like SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI), SAP API Management, or comparable middleware platforms.
• Profound understanding of integration technologies and standards such as REST, OData, SOAP APIs, IDoc, RFC/BAPI, and secure file transfer protocols.
• Strong background in enterprise data management covering SQL, ETL processes, data pipelines, modeling, quality, and governance.
• Capability to translate complex business requirements into clear architecture, technical specifications, and delivery plans.
• Knowledge of security, privacy, access controls, audit requirements, and compliance pertinent to application integrations.
• Proven leadership in managing global, cross-functional teams and external vendors, influencing senior stakeholders towards achieving accountable outcomes.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with legal or compliance technology solutions including matter management, contract lifecycle, eDiscovery, document management, and legal hold applications.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP / Integration Suite, API Management, and enterprise SaaS platform integrations with SAP environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, enterprise SaaS, analytics tools, data platforms, and automation technologies.
• Background in leading enterprise application separations, migrations, integration programs, or SAP S/4HANA transformation projects within complex global settings.
• Experience working in regulated or validated environments with understanding of GxP, CSV/CSA regulations, audit trails, electronic records, and change control compliance standards.

Additional Information

• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Availability for up to 10-15% domestic and international travel as required.
• Preferred certifications include SAP BTP / Integration Suite, cloud/integration technology, data architecture, or related enterprise application credentials.
