About the Role and Organization

This position is for a Technology Professional on the Finance Datahub team in Bengaluru, India, employed full-time with over 3 years of experience required. The opportunity is through a leading global MedTech company pioneering technology-driven solutions that support core business functions and innovate patient care products worldwide.

The role is part of the newly established India Global Capability Centre (GCC) focused on driving technology, digital transformation, and innovation for global operations. This MedTech business is a market leader in orthopaedics, preparing to become a standalone company with significant global market presence serving millions of patients annually in various specialized medical fields.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, and maintain core finance data platforms such as SAP BW4HANA, SAP S/4 Finance, Central Finance, SAP Group Reporting, and SAP Master Data Governance.
• Analyze and manage large financial datasets to facilitate decision-making in finance and business contexts.
• Design, build, and enhance data architecture and warehouse solutions tailored to finance functions.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, integration points, and backend processing systems critical for data flow.
• Conduct data modeling activities and contribute to scalable analytics frameworks.
• Create reports and dashboards that identify trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate across IT and finance teams to gather requirements and deliver data-led solutions.
• Support data governance, ensure data quality, and comply with organizational standards.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for data processes and tools.
• Document technical processes, data definitions, and solutions thoroughly to preserve institutional knowledge.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Finance, or a related field is mandatory; advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years experience in data analytics, data engineering, or IT application roles.
• Hands-on experience with finance data platforms, particularly SAP BW4HANA, Data Integration (SLT, SDI), and Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Proficient in data analysis, modeling, and database concepts, including SQL or similar query languages.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and pipeline development.
• Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau; ability to work well in teams and communicate effectively.

Preferred Skills and Tools

• Experience with SAP Cloud Data Warehouse / Data Sphere, SAP BDC, and integration with platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, and enterprise data platform management.
• Knowledge of finance ERP systems and finance data domains.
• Programming or scripting abilities in Python or R.
• Understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and security compliance.
• Exposure to Agile and DevOps development methodologies.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
