About the Role

Join a world-leading financial institution at the forefront of innovation and regulatory compliance. As a Technology and Cyber Risk Management Lead in the Technology & Cyber CCOR team, you'll develop and execute the Technology Compliance program to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks and strengthen operational resilience. You'll collaborate with a global team overseeing the 2nd Line of Defence in technology and cyber risk management, expanding your impact across legal entities and regions, while participating in diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise technology and business units regarding regulatory demands including DORA, EU AI Act, NIS2, and Cyber Resilience Act, focusing on governance, resiliency, outsourcing, data security, privacy, AI, and cloud technologies.
  • Evaluate and translate regulatory updates into comprehensive policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across multiple legal and geographic domains.
  • Establish and maintain trusted partnerships with Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Technology teams and other business stakeholders by leveraging knowledge of banking operations such as trading, payments, and custody.
  • Engage actively in technology change initiatives, product approvals, and assessments of external risk events.
  • Collaborate with conduct, compliance, and operational risk leads to advance firmwide projects and initiatives.
  • Lead risk impact and gap assessments for emerging regulations, working closely with divisional partners to enhance compliance frameworks.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of major technology and security incidents, performing root cause analyses and ensuring adherence to risk management frameworks with appropriate reporting and escalation.
  • Guide the adoption and integration of emerging technologies including Cloud, AI/ML, and Quantum computing while ensuring compliance and risk minimization.
  • Apply advanced data analytics and AI tools to identify risks within critical systems of record, driving proactive risk mitigation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of architectures, designs, and operational management of complex systems supporting global financial markets and critical business processes such as trading, clearing, settlement, payments, or custody.
  • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with a forward-looking mindset toward emerging technologies like agentic systems and Quantum computing.
  • Professional background in risk management, compliance, or technology sectors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of technology and cyber regulatory requirements across high-risk jurisdictions.
  • Robust technical expertise in technology, cybersecurity, governance, operational risk, or compliance within financial services or analogous technology roles.
  • Familiarity with Information Security and Risk Management standards/frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001/27002 and modern development methodologies including Agile and DevOps, with experience in AI-assisted coding.
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate technology risks effectively.
  • Strong organizational, project management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with professionalism and integrity.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance data analytics and deliverables preparation.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Professional certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, and cloud certifications such as CCSP or AWS Certified Practitioner are advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of EMEA technology regulations and EU-specific legislation including DORA, AI Act, Cyber Resilience Act, and NIS2.
  • Familiarity with automation and analytics tools like Alteryx, UiPath, Qlik Sense, and Tableau.
  • Expertise in effective AI prompting for responsible use of AI solutions.
