Role Overview
This full-time position is based in Doha, Qatar. The Technical Sales Engineer will engage with current and potential customers to identify their needs and deliver tailored technical solutions encompassing fire protection, ACMV, HVAC, electrical, and facility services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop quotations and detailed technical proposals that align with client requirements.
- Perform site visits and conduct thorough system evaluations to inform recommendations.
- Present products and services persuasively to potential customers.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure precise project scoping.
- Assist in solution deployment and offer technical support following sales completion.
- Manage and cultivate a sales pipeline, striving to meet sales and profit margin objectives.
- Participate in market research and business development initiatives to identify growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Between one and two years or more of relevant experience.
- Proven proficiency in technical sales and engineering sales practices.
- Strong capabilities in sales and client relationship management, including lead generation and negotiation.
- Effective technical support skills for troubleshooting and advising customers.
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for client engagements.
- Competency in preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, juggle multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced client-driven setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic background in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering disciplines is highly desirable.
- Experience within fire protection, HVAC, ACMV, or facility service sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Qatar and GCC codes, standards, and safety regulations is a plus.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and readiness to perform site visits is preferred.
