Job Overview
The Technical Project/Program Manager for R&D will oversee intricate research and development initiatives targeting next-generation semiconductor and display technologies. This position necessitates proficiency in technical project management, adeptness in coordinating across diverse teams, and a focus on delivering cutting-edge solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-disciplinary R&D projects from initial concept through development and launch phases.
- Create detailed project plans and guide execution, including strategy, resource planning, and process establishment.
- Maintain project timelines and task tracking utilizing project management tools such as schedules, reports, and checklists.
- Coordinate resource allocation within the division to meet project deadlines and budget targets; oversee equipment scheduling and procurement processes.
- Ensure project cost and schedule objectives are met for internal and external stakeholders globally.
- Contribute actively within multifunctional design teams comprising internal, external, and matrixed personnel to meet project milestones.
- Facilitate effective communication across divisions to define project aims, report progress, and align with product release objectives.
- Apply engineering insights and business process knowledge to advise team members on problem resolution.
- Identify potential project challenges, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related technical field.
- At least 8 years of experience managing technical projects or programs within semiconductor or advanced technology R&D sectors.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor processes, product development life cycles, and research methodologies; experience with PVD and advanced packaging is advantageous.
- Outstanding communication skills, leadership capabilities, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, multinational environment across various time zones.
Additional Information
- Worksite: Science Park II, relocating to Tampines by end of 2026.
- Employment Type: Full-time regular employee (assignee status).
- Travel Requirements: Approximately 10% travel expected.
