Overview
This role is for a Technical Project Manager with specialized expertise in cybersecurity, tasked with leading the end-to-end execution of complex security projects. The candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of Security Operations Center (SOC) tools and protection/detection mechanisms for infrastructures, endpoints, and workloads. Responsibilities span strategic planning and hands-on involvement from design through development to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of security platforms securing networks, servers, cloud workloads, and end-user devices.
- Define and manage project scope, goals, timelines, resources, and interdependencies.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, operations, and procurement to ensure aligned and efficient workflows.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, and changes to maintain schedules and budgets.
- Communicate clear project status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to leadership, ensuring visibility.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, ideally in financial services or asset management, including a minimum of 3 years in project management.
- Proven capability in designing, implementing, and operating enterprise cybersecurity platforms such as SOC tooling (cSIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, NDR, Threat Intelligence Platforms) and vulnerability management covering attack and vulnerability assessment, data prioritization, threat exposure, and attack simulation.
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, system hardening practices (e.g., CIS Benchmarks), and operating system internals (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Experience with automation and tooling development to minimize manual work, quicken threat response, and enforce consistent controls across infrastructure and endpoints, including scripting in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
- Familiar with threat intelligence, threat hunting, and security observability concepts.
- Expertise in cloud security controls and architectures across major platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Structured and disciplined project management approach coupled with strong technical knowledge.
- Strategic mindset capable of translating technical objectives into business benefits.
- Exceptional organizational skills and proactive problem-solving ability.
- Collaborative leadership style with influence across cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- Certifications in PMP, Cybersecurity, or Cloud technologies (AWS, etc.) are advantageous.
