Role Overview
The Project Manager position is a full-time role based onsite in Accra. The individual will be responsible for leading fibre FTTH and telecom infrastructure projects from planning through execution, ensuring all deliverables meet defined scope, budget, and schedule requirements. Primary duties include coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, supervising contractors and suppliers, monitoring project status, and delivering progress updates to stakeholders. This position also entails enforcing quality control, safety protocols, environmental compliance, resolving project challenges, and maintaining adherence to company and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle of telecom infrastructure projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Coordinate and supervise cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers to meet project goals and timelines.
- Track and report project progress and status to relevant stakeholders regularly.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards throughout project activities.
- Address and resolve project issues proactively to minimize delays and risks.
- Support logistics management, material expediting, and site inspections to facilitate efficient project delivery.
- Participate in continuous process improvements to enhance project management practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven project management proficiency including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience in expediting and managing materials and equipment procurement and supplier follow-ups to ensure on-time delivery.
- Strong inspection skills to oversee work quality, safety adherence, and engineering standards compliance on site.
- Competence in logistics management encompassing coordination of transport, storage, and resource distribution.
- Background in civil engineering, construction, or telecom infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational capabilities with attention to detail and risk mitigation awareness.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills enabling successful collaboration with diverse teams and project stakeholders.
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline; possession of professional certifications like PMP is an asset.
