Technical Product Manager - Marketplace & App

Role Overview

As a Technical Product Manager for Shopee's Marketplace and App platform, you will spearhead the planning and advancement of platform capabilities and infrastructure. Your efforts will focus on enhancing development efficiency, raising product quality, and enriching user experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning and development of the Shopee App platform with a concentration on scalability and efficiency improvements.
• Gain a profound understanding of both business requirements and technical systems to spot repetitive needs and systemic challenges, translating them into platform capabilities with scalable solutions.
• Prioritize product features and set long-term goals based on business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic importance.
• Drive integration of artificial intelligence throughout the App platform capabilities and engineering processes to boost efficiency, automate workflows, and develop scalable product solutions.
• Create and refine key performance indicators and monitoring systems to track App quality and engineering efficiency using data analytics and user feedback.
• Collaborate intensively with teams including engineering, QA, product management, and regional business units to ensure timely and successful completion of cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Continuously enhance App development methodologies and platform functionalities, taking ownership of overall engineering efficiency and production quality.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Have a minimum of 1 year experience in product management, technical product management, or related fields.
• Demonstrate strong technical acumen, analytical prowess, and problem-solving abilities, with competency to bridge technological and commercial aspects effectively.
• Exhibit strong practical skills in AI, capable of applying AI techniques in analysis, prototyping, troubleshooting, and daily product management. Prior experience with AI Agents is advantageous.
• Excel in cross-team communication, collaboration, and project management with a robust sense of responsibility and outcome-driven mindset.
