Technical Operations Manager, Audit, Third Party Data Centers

About the Role

This role involves managing technical operations and audit processes within third-party data center environments. The successful candidate will work with Google's Data Center team that oversees advanced systems including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC infrastructure critical to data center performance. The position demands a strong background in operational compliance, engineering, and risk assessment to maintain high standards of efficiency, safety, and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute site operational assessments across various regional data center locations to uphold best practices and meet essential product requirements.
• Conduct thorough operational and risk analyses on third-party colocation sites, ensuring compliance with program standards.
• Engage with key stakeholders by sharing strategic directions and updates related to ongoing work and audits.
• Apply technical knowledge to investigate incidents and oversee the planning and implementation of performance-focused operational audits.
• Contribute consistently to strategy development relevant to the focus area, particularly regarding execution of third-party site audits.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of an associate degree, trade certification, or equivalent practical experience in a related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in electrical, mechanical/HVAC, or controls within industrial or commercial settings.
• Proven experience in conducting operational compliance audits.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and varying shifts as required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s or higher degree in a related field.
• Preferred: Experience in data center environments managing infrastructure operations.
• Preferred: Skills in forecasting resource requirements using data-driven methodologies.
• Preferred: Competency in operational assessments and risk evaluations for third-party sites.

Working Conditions and Travel

This position requires up to 50% travel to regional colocation data centers to conduct operational audits. The candidate must have valid work authorization for Saudi Arabia, as this role does not offer visa sponsorship.
