Job description
Position Overview
Join Unisys in Wellington, New Zealand as a Technical Lead specializing in full stack development. This full-time role blends hands-on coding with mentoring and leadership responsibilities, focusing on delivering robust enterprise solutions using modern technologies like .NET, Azure, APIs, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee technical delivery for various development initiatives.
- Engage with multiple layers including frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Partner closely with project managers, testing teams, operations, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Address and solve technical roadblocks to maintain project momentum.
- Implement Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban to streamline delivery processes.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts within the development team environment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior development professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in IT and at least two years in a technical leadership role.
- Proficient in .NET development including C#, ASP.NET/Core, ASP.NET MVC, REST API design, and Swagger documentation.
- Skilled in object-oriented analysis and software design methodologies.
- Experienced with Microsoft SQL Server database management.
- Familiar with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
- Solid cloud development background, especially within Microsoft Azure.
- Advantageous to have knowledge of API management tools like MuleSoft or Apigee.
- Highly desirable to possess expertise in microservices architectures.
- Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or higher, with a preference for Master's qualifications.
