About the Role
The Technical Field Engineer position involves installing, repairing, and maintaining hardware and software components primarily at client locations. The role ensures systems function correctly and are maintained or updated as needed, working collaboratively with technical teams to provide prompt and efficient service. Responsibilities include managing scheduling, administrative tasks, and communication with clients to guarantee satisfaction with service and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive field engineering support for large, complex clients.
- Independently manage all onsite service activities.
- Perform advanced maintenance tasks across all products along with simpler installations.
- Provide detailed technical feedback on equipment, systems, and procedures to enhance service delivery.
- Utilize advanced technical tools and knowledge to troubleshoot client issues and perform scheduled installations.
- Identify and address systemic problems within the team.
- Offer proactive technical support and expertise to team members.
- Contribute to the improvement of client service metrics through accurate reporting and documentation.
- Monitor technical and procedural issues, keeping management informed and suggesting improvements.
Requirements
- Preferred technical certification or associate degree.
- Minimum of six months hands-on experience in field engineering or related technical support roles.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting in customer environments.
- Australian citizenship is mandatory.
- Possession of an active Australian Security Clearance - NV1 or NV2 is required.
