This Technical Lead position is situated within the Manila delivery squad, focused on integrating AI-native methodologies into their engineering workflows.

Role Overview

As a Technical Lead, you will actively participate in coding while guiding the team’s development processes and practices.

Responsibilities

• Guide developers through the phases of design, coding, review, and delivery.
• Resolve blockers to maintain momentum on design decisions.
• Break down engineering tasks appropriately between AI agents and human input.
• Evaluate AI-generated code to detect faults prior to production deployment.
• Mentor the team on leveraging AI tools effectively without compromising quality standards.
• Remain actively involved in coding across EROAD's SaaS platform.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven hands-on leadership experience in technical roles.
• Practical application of AI coding tools or agents within production environments.
• Proficiency in Java and/or C# for cloud-native development on AWS using Java/Spring, or Azure with .NET frameworks.
• Competency in microservices architectures and designing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Design and implementation of automated testing strategies including unit, component, and integration testing.
• Familiarity with Git, trunk-based development methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Preferred Additional Expertise

• Basic knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience with agent-based workflows including task breakdown, context management, or multi-step agent coordination is highly valued.
• Exposure to JavaScript or React for front-end integration.
• Familiarity with AWS event-driven services like Kinesis, SQS, or DynamoDB.
• Experience related to GIS, payments, or high-volume transactional systems.
• Understanding of Kubernetes or Terraform technologies.
