Job description
Role Overview
The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) leads the transformation of Operations Infrastructure Services (OIS) technology backbone specifically for Quick Commerce operations, owning infrastructure strategy at a country level to enable rapid, cost-effective site launches with enterprise quality reliability.
Core Responsibilities
- Define and drive the country-wide network and device infrastructure roadmap, including vendor relations and selection.
- Establish architecture standards, playbooks, and deployment sequences to support fleet-wide site launches at scale.
- Manage governance cycles ensuring network availability, device health, and financial targets are met.
- Collaborate directly with senior business leadership to align infrastructure capabilities with evolving business priorities and capacity requirements.
Daily Activities
Responsibilities include steering technical decisions impacting thousands of sites, balancing cost and availability factors, negotiating vendor contracts, and translating complex infrastructure data into actionable strategy for senior stakeholders.
About the Team
The NANO team within OIS is dedicated to delivering lean, scalable infrastructure to support Amazon's rapid expansion of small-format Quick Commerce sites. This team manages vendor contracts, site launches, and ongoing operational excellence across multiple regions including India, USA, Middle East, UK, and Japan.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience in program management or technical project management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education.
- Proven track record managing large-scale end-to-end technical projects.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networks, and IT service delivery models.
- Ability to handle conflicts and escalations, negotiate compromises, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and reporting measurable outcomes to senior management.
- Effective communication skills with technical professionals and executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field preferred.
