Typical Day

As a Software Development Engineer, you will build and maintain large-scale enterprise systems that serve hundreds of thousands of associates globally. You'll gain exposure to cutting-edge AWS services and industry-leading practices while developing new products and supporting robust business tools integrated within Amazon’s operations.

About the Team

The Workforce Solutions team is a multi-disciplinary, horizontal organization focused on developing innovative, people-centric recruitment technologies globally. We provide intelligent solutions that facilitate equitable and candidate-focused hiring processes for all corporate roles at Amazon. Our product portfolio, largely based on native AWS technologies, covers every stage from job posting to fulfillment, emphasizing collaboration, flexibility, and user-centric innovation.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems covering design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
• Proficiency with at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the complete software development lifecycle including coding standards, code review, source control, build processes, testing, and operational management.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

The compensation package includes a base annual salary range between 114,800 and 191,800 CAD, along with additional elements such as sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units (RSUs).
