Join Amazon's Workforce Solutions (WS) team to innovate and build advanced tools that enhance the experiences of Amazon's employees, managers, and leaders. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive services enabling options for pay, training, and job choices for Amazon employees.
- Create extensive features for pay premiums, career mobility, and job training worldwide.
- Utilize modern technology stacks to address highly complex problems at large scale.
- Produce scalable solutions that manage intricate workflows and comply with varying country-specific regulations.
- Automate business processes with serverless, full-stack approaches leveraging both mature and emerging native AWS services to ensure smooth user experiences.
- Advance the scalability of services supporting hundreds of thousands of Amazonians in real time.
- Innovate fearlessly by challenging conventional methods and introducing new ideas.
- Adhere to project plans and deliverables with strong execution capabilities.
- Develop tier-one services that offer high availability, scalability, and performance to create intuitive and responsive user interfaces.
- Analyze complex technical and business challenges by deep diving, gathering data, making insightful decisions, and exercising sound judgment when data is limited.

Typical Day
As a Software Development Engineer, you will build and maintain large-scale enterprise systems that serve hundreds of thousands of associates globally. You'll gain exposure to cutting-edge AWS services and industry-leading practices while developing new products and supporting robust business tools integrated within Amazon’s operations.
About the Team
The Workforce Solutions team is a multi-disciplinary, horizontal organization focused on developing innovative, people-centric recruitment technologies globally. We provide intelligent solutions that facilitate equitable and candidate-focused hiring processes for all corporate roles at Amazon. Our product portfolio, largely based on native AWS technologies, covers every stage from job posting to fulfillment, emphasizing collaboration, flexibility, and user-centric innovation.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems covering design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
- Proficiency with at least one programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the complete software development lifecycle including coding standards, code review, source control, build processes, testing, and operational management.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
