Job description
Role Summary
As a Technical Field Engineer, you will handle installation, repair, and technical upkeep of both hardware and software products primarily at client sites. Your responsibilities include ensuring systems function as intended and managing upgrades and maintenance following set protocols. Collaboration with technical peers is essential to provide efficient and timely service, while also overseeing scheduling, administrative duties, and maintaining clear communication with customers to guarantee satisfaction with service and product performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive field engineering support for large-scale and complex client operations.
- Take full accountability for all onsite service tasks.
- Execute advanced maintenance activities on various products and conduct straightforward installations.
- Offer valuable technical insights on equipment, system functionality, and processes to enhance service delivery.
- Utilize sophisticated tools and expertise to troubleshoot client issues and perform scheduled installations.
- Detect and remedy recurring problems within the engineering team.
- Provide proactive technical support and knowledge-sharing to team members.
- Contribute to the enhancement of client service quality by preparing thorough reports and documentation.
- Observe technical challenges and procedural issues, report to management, and suggest potential solutions for improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a technical certification or associate degree is preferred.
- A minimum of six months practical experience in field engineering or comparable technical support roles.
- Demonstrated competence in performing maintenance, installations, and problem-solving in client environments.
- Must hold Australian citizenship.
- Active Australian Security Clearance level NV1 or NV2 is mandatory.
