Technical Estimator - Process Equipment & Pipework

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Estimator / Quotations Engineer specialized in Process Equipment and Plant Fabrications to join our team in Swansea, South Wales. The role demands candidates to either live within practical commuting distance of Swansea or be open to relocating promptly. Our company delivers engineering design and installation solutions across highly-regulated industries including Chemicals, Bio-Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverage, and Dairy production both in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will take charge of managing customer enquiries and generating detailed quotations. This encompasses defining customer needs, selecting appropriate equipment, collaborating with suppliers, assembling costing documentation, formulating quotes, and participating in customer meetings. Comprehensive training on company-specific processes and products will be provided to qualified candidates.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Educational background in process, chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering is highly beneficial.
• Well-developed organizational and administrative skills, particularly in preparing and managing documentation.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage Accounts and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on spreadsheets.
• Ability to interpret and analyze engineering drawings effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey technical details.
• Excellent time management skills to handle work pressure and interruptions effectively.
• Experience balancing multiple tasks, displaying high levels of organization and motivation.
• Precision and detailed attention in managing enquiries with a systematic methodology.
• Previous experience in the manufacturing of equipment and pricing process equipment is advantageous.
