Technical Assistant

About the Role

Geo Design and Research is seeking a meticulous and responsible Junior Engineer to join their team as a Technical Assistant. This position primarily involves estimating costs for road and highway construction projects, conducting site visits to monitor progress, preparing detailed reports, and supporting project coordination efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop precise cost estimations for roadworks and highway construction in collaboration with engineers and project managers to align with project objectives.
• Conduct regular site visits to track project progress, verify adherence to project plans and quality standards, identify potential issues or delays, and communicate findings to the project team.
• Prepare comprehensive and transparent progress reports covering completed work, upcoming activities, and any concerns that require attention.
• Assist project coordinators in daily operational activities, coordinate effectively with engineering teams, assist in scheduling, and help resolve technical challenges encountered on site.
• Maintain thorough and current records including cost estimates, site visit documentation, and all relevant project materials, ensuring they are organized and accessible to the team.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess qualifications ranging from ITI, Diploma in Civil Engineering, to a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil. Experience of up to 2 years is acceptable, particularly with relevance to highway and structural projects.

Location and Travel

The position is based in Vadodara, Gujarat. However, candidates should be willing and able to travel across India as required by project needs.

Compensation

The salary will be determined following the interview process and aligned with market standards.
