Site Engineer

Job Overview

We seek a Site Engineer or Project Engineer to oversee residential and commercial construction and interior projects from start to finish. This role involves managing site execution, contractor liaison, quality assurance, materials, scheduling, and ensuring all work aligns with approved designs, specifications, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction and interior activities at the site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project criteria.
• Coordinate various trades including civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, false ceiling, painting, flooring, and furniture installation.
• Monitor quality of workmanship and installations, promptly addressing site issues with the project team.
• Plan work sequencing to prevent delays and rework.
• Maintain effective coordination among architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients through regular meetings and communications.
• Manage technical queries, approve materials, samples, and drawings, ensuring smooth civil, MEP, and interior integration.
• Conduct quality inspections to verify adherence to specifications, including dimensional checks and material compliance.
• Document quality control processes, recording and correcting non-conformities.
• Create and monitor daily/weekly schedules, track progress, and resolve potential delays.
• Manage manpower and resources aligned with project needs and produce site progress reports.
• Coordinate materials procurement and monitor consumption to minimize waste.
• Verify measurements and quantities from contractors, assist with BOQ, RA bills, and variation management.
• Ensure safety compliance onsite, including PPE use, housekeeping, and proper material storage.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work sites, reporting unsafe conditions immediately.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Interior Design/Architecture, or related discipline.
• 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in site management for construction and/or interior projects.
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices, including civil and finishing works.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with BOQ preparation, measurements, and quantity verifications.
• Competent in contractor and labor management.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and site documentation.
• Experience or knowledge of project scheduling and planning is advantageous.

Preferred Technical Expertise

• Civil: RCC work, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, tiling, and finishing.
• Interior: False ceilings, gypsum partitions, carpentry, modular furniture, wall paneling, painting, wallpaper, and joinery.
• MEP Coordination: Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting services integrated with interior works.
• Site Documentation: BOQ, quantity measurement, RA bill preparation, material reconciliation, daily progress reports, snag identification, and handover paperwork.

Prior experience with turnkey residential and commercial projects is preferred.

Compensation

The salary offered ranges between ₹20,000 and ₹40,000 per month.
