Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Salesforce Technical Architect to lead the design, governance, and continual advancement of scalable, secure, and high-performance Salesforce solutions. This senior leadership role involves owning architectural decisions, setting technical strategy, and ensuring alignment of the Salesforce ecosystem with long-term product objectives, release schedules, and exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex requirements into clear, maintainable solutions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive solution architecture for Salesforce Industry Clouds and interconnected systems.
  • Establish and enforce architectural principles, design standards, and governance frameworks across the Salesforce landscape.
  • Design robust data models, security architectures including sharing rules, field-level security, and Shield, alongside integration strategies.
  • Advise on build vs. buy vs. configure approaches rooted in platform best practices and business value.
  • Architect event-driven and API-focused integration solutions such as REST, SOAP, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and MuleSoft.
  • Provide expert technical guidance during design, proposal, and delivery phases.
  • Maintain up-to-date architectural documentation, technical diagrams (C4, UML), decision records, and standards.
  • Conduct architectural reviews and drive efforts to identify and remedy technical debt.
  • Support product and delivery teams with technical planning, estimates, and risk evaluations.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver resilient, well-governed Salesforce solutions.
  • Mentor developers and technical leads on architectural best practices and Salesforce design patterns.
  • Ensure compliance with internal engineering standards, legal regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Champion DevOps maturity by advancing CI/CD pipelines, source control with Salesforce DX and Git, automated testing, and release management.
  • Promote organizational health and technical hygiene, optimizing platform performance by managing governor limits, large data volume strategies, and asynchronous processing patterns.

Candidate Requirements

  • Over 10 years experience in software development or engineering, including at least 5 years dedicated to Salesforce architecture and solution design.
  • Proven track record designing complex integrations using REST, SOAP, middleware/iPaaS, and Salesforce event mechanisms.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce data architecture, security models, and multi-cloud or multi-organization strategies.
  • Experience with Salesforce DX and CI/CD tools such as Copado, Gearset, or GitHub Actions.
  • Strong ability to create and communicate architectural documentation and technical diagrams to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities with a neat ability to demystify complex topics.

Highly Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification or actively pursuing it.
  • Application Architect and/or System Architect certifications.
  • Platform Developer II certification.
  • Expertise in MuleSoft, Data Cloud, Einstein AI/GPT, or OmniStudio.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Industry Clouds.
  • Knowledge of large data volume strategies, Shield Platform Encryption, and event monitoring.
  • Experience in government, enterprise, or other regulated sectors.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
