Role Overview
Join Canon Business Services as a Technical Architect specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) and Power Platform solutions. You will spearhead the architecture design and delivery of enterprise-scale Microsoft technologies, driving digital transformation and operational excellence for diverse clients. Located in Canberra with a flexible work-from-home option two days a week, this position combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform implementations across enterprise environments.
- Oversee technical execution throughout project lifecycles, ensuring solution scalability, security, and performance.
- Provide leadership to development teams by conducting code and design reviews and enforcing best practices.
- Work closely with customers and business stakeholders to define requirements, roadmaps, and solution strategies.
- Support projects through technical documentation, governance frameworks, and quality assurance activities.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor internally and to clients, influencing solution decisions and delivery methods.
- Participate in pre-sales efforts including proposal development, effort estimations, and technical presentations.
- Drive innovation by identifying automation opportunities and avenues for continuous improvement.
- Mentor and share expertise with team members across the AI Business Solutions practice.
- Attend workshops and onsite meetings as required to facilitate project success.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with extensive experience architecting and implementing Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solutions. You possess a solid understanding of various Dynamics 365 modules, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft development tools and integrations. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills enable you to serve as a compelling technical consultant.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in architecting and leading deployments of Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 CE.
- Proficient with Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365 modules such as Sales, Customer Service, Customer Insights, and Field Service.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, and associated technologies.
- Experience integrating Power Platform with systems like SharePoint, Azure Active Directory, and Azure cloud services.
- Track record of designing scalable enterprise solutions and guiding high-performing technical teams.
- Competence in customer-facing consulting roles, managing expectations and technical stakeholder relationships.
- Background in supporting bids, proposals, and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery methodologies.
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, or relevant Dynamics 365 credentials are highly desirable.
- Experience with PowerApps Component Framework (PCF) development, DevOps pipelines, and PowerShell scripting is advantageous.
