Role Overview
We are seeking a Digital Services Capture Operator for our Lower Hutt location on a fixed-term contract from 27 October 2026 to 26 February 2027. This full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm) involves converting customer documents into digital formats accurately and efficiently, adhering to client specifications and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and sort documents before processing
- Perform data entry and keying tasks promptly and accurately
- Assess and evaluate forms for processing readiness
- Receive, prepare, scan, and key documents
- Maintain minimum keying speed requirements while ensuring data accuracy and compliance
- Stay informed about client expectations as detailed in Work Instructions
- Operate within capture work queues and use Canon's system tools effectively
- Understand and maintain familiarity with front-end processes in MAP
- Complete timesheets and task sheets with precision
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, a positive collaborator, and committed to delivering high-quality work. Strong data entry proficiency, excellent computer and numeric skills, and clear communication abilities are crucial. Prior experience in document control and customer service environments will be advantageous.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in document control processes
- Data entry proficiency with a minimum of 80% alphabetic and 20% numeric keying skills
- Solid administrative, time management, and organizational capabilities
- Familiarity with New Zealand geography and regional names
- Technical competence, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry tools
- Experience in operational roles involving customer service
- A minimum keyed data entry speed of 8,000 key presses per hour with fewer than 1% errors
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and systems
