Job description
Role Overview
As an integral part of the management team at Dollarama in Dieppe, New Brunswick, the Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing daily retail operations to ensure smooth store functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising store associates by offering guidance and support.
- Managing store merchandising, including shelf stocking and handling shipment unpacking and packaging.
- Upholding exceptional customer service standards throughout the store.
- Performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, such as managing employee breaks, timekeeping, and attendance monitoring.
- Implementing and preserving visual merchandising guidelines.
- Handling customer complaints and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensuring the store maintains cleanliness and adheres to safety standards.
- Managing cash, as well as opening and closing the store when required.
- Participating actively in inventory management and employee training activities.
- Following up on assigned tasks and contributing to staff hiring and performance management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least one year of experience in retail operations.
- One to two years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Desire and ambition to advance professionally within the company.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong leadership capabilities paired with effective communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
