Job description

Role Overview

As a crucial member of the store management team, the Team Leader assists both the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing everyday retail operations. This role involves hands-on leadership and operational responsibilities to ensure smooth store functioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, supervising, and guiding store employees effectively.
  • Overseeing store merchandising, shelf stocking, and handling packaging/unpackaging of shipments daily.
  • Upholding superior customer service quality standards.
  • Managing operational duties like manager on duty tasks including staff breaks, timekeeping, and attendance.
  • Executing and sustaining visual merchandising standards consistently.
  • Addressing and resolving customer complaints promptly.
  • Ensuring the store maintains safety and cleanliness at all times.
  • Handling cash control and performing store opening and closing procedures as necessary.
  • Engaging in inventory management and contributing to training new employees.
  • Following up on delegated assignments and supporting hiring and employee performance evaluations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least one year of experience in retail operations.
  • Between one to two years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • A strong desire to advance within the company.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Excellent leadership abilities coupled with effective communication skills.
  • Capability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced retail environment.
