Role Overview
The Team Leader is an integral part of the management team, assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing day-to-day operations of the retail store.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide store associates, ensuring they receive appropriate support.
- Oversee merchandising activities including shelf stocking and handling daily shipment processing such as boxing and unboxing.
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
- Conduct manager-on-duty obligations including managing breaks, timekeeping, and attendance.
- Implement and uphold visual merchandising standards throughout the store.
- Promptly address customer complaints and work towards effective resolution.
- Ensure the store environment remains safe and clean.
- Perform cash handling, store opening, and closing procedures when required.
- Engage in inventory management and employee training sessions.
- Follow through on delegated tasks and assist in staff recruitment and performance evaluation.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least one year of retail work experience.
- One to two years experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated ambition for career advancement within the company.
- Availability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong leadership capabilities paired with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize in a fast-paced retail setting.
