Role Overview
As an integral member of the management team, the Team Leader supports both the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the retail store located in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada.
Primary Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and supervision to store associates, offering ongoing guidance and assistance.
- Managing store merchandising activities including shelf stocking and handling of shipments through boxing and unboxing.
- Ensuring that high standards of customer service are consistently achieved.
- Carrying out manager-on-duty duties such as overseeing breaks, attendance, and timing.
- Executing and upholding visual merchandising standards throughout the store.
- Promptly addressing and resolving issues and complaints raised by customers.
- Maintaining safety protocols and cleanliness standards within the store.
- Performing essential cash handling, as well as opening and closing store functions when required.
- Engaging in inventory management tasks and providing training to employees.
- Following through on assigned responsibilities and supporting hiring and employee performance processes.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- At least one year of experience in retail operations.
- Between one and two years of experience in a supervisory position.
- A strong desire to advance professionally within the company.
- Availability to work flexible hours during days, evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent leadership capabilities and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize work in a busy retail environment.
