Job description
Role Overview
As a crucial member of the management team, the Team Leader supports both the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and supervision to store associates, offering guidance and support to drive performance.
- Managing store merchandising tasks including shelf stocking and handling daily shipments through boxing and unboxing.
- Ensuring that customer service standards are consistently upheld to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Performing duties as manager-on-duty, which includes managing breaks, timekeeping, and attendance tracking.
- Implementing and sustaining the store's visual merchandising standards.
- Promptly addressing customer complaints and resolving issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Upholding store safety and cleanliness protocols consistently.
- Carrying out cash management and executing store opening and closing procedures when necessary.
- Participating in inventory control activities and assisting with training of new and existing employees.
- Following up on assigned tasks and contributing to the hiring process as well as employee performance management.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least one year of experience working in retail.
- Between one to two years in a supervisory or leadership position within retail.
- Strong ambition to advance and develop a career within the company.
- Availability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent leadership capabilities combined with strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
