Role Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic, detail-focused US Tax Associates to join our expanding US Tax team. This entry-level position suits recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in US tax compliance and develop a solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations. Candidates will work closely with experienced professionals while handling various tax preparation tasks.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing US Federal and State tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Gather, organize, and review client documentation and supporting tax materials.
- Prepare supporting workpapers and maintain accurate documentation for tax submissions.
- Conduct basic tax research and apply US tax laws under supervision.
- Utilize tax software and internal tools with precision.
- Adhere to deadlines while ensuring compliance with firm quality standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to clarify data discrepancies and respond to client inquiries.
- Maintain flexibility to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
- Coordinate work schedules aligned to US time zones, including availability during late evenings and weekends in India.
- Be prepared to work extended hours during peak periods and critical deadlines to support timely delivery and effective cooperation with US teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of US tax principles, gained academically or through training.
- Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and foundational accounting concepts.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Credentials
- Candidates working towards EA (Enrolled Agent) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification are preferred.
