About the Role
The Maples Group is searching for a Dublin-based Tax Associate to join their acclaimed Tier 1 Irish Tax Group. This position offers the chance to advance your career by becoming part of a large, thriving tax team. The Irish Tax Group advises a wide range of clients including global financial institutions, investment managers, Irish and international corporations, and entrepreneurs on diverse tax matters.
As a member of this team, you will work closely with partners and fellow associates in a busy and innovative environment. Your responsibilities will include providing expert advice on corporate tax, financial transactions, VAT, and tax disputes, as well as supporting international transactions involving public companies, banks, and investment institutions. You will also engage with Irish innovative companies and high-net-worth individuals and collaborate with colleagues across the Maples Group internationally.
The role involves participating in multidisciplinary teams across various jurisdictions and contributing to knowledge sharing and practice development sessions. Additionally, you will assist in shaping Irish, EU, and international tax through consultations with industry stakeholders and policymakers.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to hone technical tax skills and demonstrate a robust work ethic focused on complex tax issues. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential.
- Between one and five years of post-qualification experience as a tax adviser from a respected firm in Ireland or the UK
- Excellent academic background
