Role Overview

The Task Associate plays a key role in ensuring operational excellence that supports sales efforts and delivers exceptional guest experiences. Typical duties include stocking merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned operational tasks. The position works closely with Merchandise and Operations Managers focusing on performance metrics, team collaboration, and process adherence. Attention to detail and following established procedures are essential.

Core Responsibilities

• Help achieve or surpass store sales targets by executing tasks efficiently and ensuring products are consistently available for customers.
• Maintain compliance with operational standards such as shipment processing, inventory counts, and merchandise setup according to the task dashboard.
• Attend work regularly and punctually.
• Foster an inclusive environment that supports teammates and both internal and external customers.
• Engage in ongoing training programs, including brand and product education, to support professional growth and sales enhancement.
• Follow Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, dress code, and operational protocols diligently.
• Execute merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing using the company's technology and best practices.
• Maintain assigned areas by keeping them replenished, well-signed, and orderly with testers available.
• Keenly maintain overall store cleanliness including sales floors, restrooms, backroom, break areas, and checkout zones.
• Protect company assets by adhering to loss prevention measures while delivering outstanding guest service.
• Perform additional operational duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least one year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stay mobile throughout the shift, including frequent standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting.
• Capability to continuously lift, carry, or move weights up to 25 pounds during the shift.
• Ongoing coordination and handling of objects.

Compensation and Benefits

The position pays between $16.00 and $20.00 per hour, based on factors such as education, experience, certifications, and shift. Overtime pay is available when legally applicable. Full-time employees qualify for paid time off along with health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances. Part-time employees are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
