Role Overview

The Task Associate (TA) plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence that supports sales efforts and ensures a superior shopping experience for every guest. This includes managing merchandise stock levels, upholding cleanliness, and performing assigned duties efficiently. The TA works closely with Merchandise and Operations Managers focusing on performance metrics, teamwork, and adherence to processes and compliance standards, requiring detailed attention and consistent process execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the store’s retail targets by ensuring completion of all tasks and product availability for customers.
• Achieve compliance and operational objectives related to task dashboards, shipment processing, replenishment, merchandising setups, and inventory procedures timely.
• Attend work regularly and punctually to support store operations.
• Contribute positively to an inclusive, supportive environment for colleagues and guests alike.
• Engage in continual training on brands and category knowledge to enhance professional growth and sales skills.
• Uphold Ulta Beauty’s policies, operating procedures, and standards consistently.
• Follow company dress code requirements.
• Execute merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventories, and shipment processing using Ulta's technology and best practices.
• Maintain operational standards by keeping areas stocked, signed, faced, and ensuring availability of testers.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the store including sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break areas.
• Protect company assets by adhering to loss prevention procedures and offering excellent guest service.
• Perform additional operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent education and work history preferred.
• Comfortable using basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Requires continuous movement throughout the store during shifts.
• Involves frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Regularly lifts, carries, and moves items up to 25 pounds.
• Continuous coordination and handling of objects are necessary throughout shifts.
