Role Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee comprehensive recruitment activities across Jumia's countries, ensuring the sourcing, selection, and onboarding of highly qualified candidates while delivering an excellent candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize diverse sourcing channels such as job boards, social networks, and professional groups to attract talent.
- Establish and nurture talent pools for critical and high-volume roles.
- Foster partnerships with universities and professional bodies to facilitate entry-level recruitment.
- Engage passive candidates for niche roles and evaluate sourcing strategy effectiveness regularly.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes using Jumia's Greenhouse system including resume screening, initial interviews, assessments, and offer management.
- Coordinate interview logistics, maintain candidate communication, and support onboarding.
- Keep detailed recruitment records and analyze key hiring metrics to optimize processes.
- Participate in employer branding campaigns, represent Jumia at recruitment events, and ensure a positive recruitment experience.
- Develop strong collaboration with hiring managers to understand talent requirements, guide interview practices, and advise on market trends.
- Work jointly with HR leadership on workforce planning and talent strategy alignment.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Talent Acquisition or similar HR functions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of full recruitment lifecycle, capable of handling multiple openings simultaneously across different markets.
- Familiar with candidate evaluation techniques and using applicant tracking systems; prior experience with Greenhouse is advantageous.
- Proficient in sourcing talent creatively via job boards, LinkedIn, social media, and professional networks.
- Skilled at building and maintaining robust talent pipelines for essential and volume recruitment.
