Opened in 2021 on Palm Jumeirah’s western crescent, this grand beach resort features 340 elegant rooms, suites, and villas. Infused with European palace style and handcrafted Italian furnishings, it provides guests with stunning panoramic views, private beaches, advanced entertainment options including a VIP movie theatre, exclusive boutiques, signature dining venues, and banquet and conference facilities.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Tailor to join Raffles The Palm Dubai, reporting directly to the Linen/Laundry Supervisor. The Tailor is tasked with delivering superior quality tailoring and alteration services critical to hotel operations and guest satisfaction. This involves repair and alteration of staff uniforms, linens, and various textile items, maintaining sewing machinery, managing materials, and ensuring each task upholds Raffles' high standards of excellence and sophistication.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair flat linens such as bed sheets, bathrobes, towels, and bath mats utilized in guest rooms.
• Perform repairs on table linens, kitchen towels, curtain hems, and headings.
• Alter and mend buttons and other details on all hotel uniforms.
• Carry out minor repairs and alterations on guest garments as requested.
• Assist in checking, sorting, and distributing employee uniforms.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of sewing equipment and work area.
• Adhere strictly to Occupational Health & Safety guidelines and hotel policies.
• Perform other assigned duties and special projects diligently.
• Conduct regular inspections of sewing machines to ensure proper functionality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Secondary education is required.
• At least 3 years of experience performing similar tailoring functions within the hospitality industry.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail.
