About ADCB GBS
Join a dynamic team where your unique contributions are valued and your career growth is supported. ADCB's Global Banking Services (GBS) group consists of talented professionals dedicated to driving the bank's strategy, growth, and digital transformation. Working collaboratively with business partners, GBS focuses on delivering exceptional service and customer experiences.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Leverage in-depth, practical expertise managing multiple cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Google Cloud, with a strong grasp of native tools for cost and usage tracking, cloud pricing structures, consumption influences, and contractual agreements.
- Manage discount and commitment initiatives such as Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and Commitment Usage Discounts, performing financial trade-off analysis and overseeing commitment risks.
- Handle complex pricing models covering SaaS, consumption-based, and API-driven services, including AI and productivity tools (e.g., Copilot and AI add-ons), messaging and communication platforms (SMS, Email, bots), as well as cloud virtual desktop and end-user computing solutions. Ability to model unit economics, forecast demand, and manage financial risks is essential.
- Apply FinOps practices effectively, encompassing cost allocation and attribution aligned with business and product structures, budgeting, rolling forecast creation, variance analysis, anomaly detection, and ongoing cost optimization and governance.
- Develop and maintain mature chargeback and show-back frameworks tailored to enterprise and banking requirements.
- Evaluate cloud infrastructure and platform services—including compute, storage, networking, databases, and PaaS—considering cost, performance, resilience, and regulatory compliance when guiding architectural decisions.
- Provide recommendations on cost-efficient yet compliant architecture patterns.
- Integrate software development and DevOps principles, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure as code, and environment management, recognizing how engineering practices influence cloud financial outcomes.
- Manage cloud security, risk, governance, and compliance aspects within regulated banking environments, balancing cost implications with controls, observability, resilience, and financial efficiency.
- Design and manage cloud cost data pipelines that normalize multi-cloud billing data to support executive dashboards, business and financial reporting, decision-making, and investment governance.
- Engage with stakeholders to translate complex cloud cost, usage, and architectural decisions into clear financial narratives, influencing senior engineering leadership, finance, procurement, risk, and executives to foster cost accountability and value-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Over seven years of professional experience, including a minimum of five years specifically in Cloud Financial Management (FinOps), cloud cost optimization, cloud operations, or financial governance within large enterprises or regulated banking sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Mandatory certifications: FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) and FOCUS Analyst certification.
- Preferred certifications: FinOps for AI and Cloud Solutions Architect certifications (AWS, Azure, or equivalent).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to large and complex multi-cloud cost and usage datasets.
- Strong financial expertise including ownership of budgets, purchase orders, shared cost allocations, forecasting, variance analysis, and implementing financial safeguards.
- Proficient in unit cost analysis, marginal costing, and cost-to-serve modeling.
- Advanced skills in cost modeling and forecasting that translate technical consumption into financial forecasts, business impact analysis, and strategic investment and optimization recommendations.
- Expertise in interpreting and normalizing cloud billing data to ensure accurate cost allocation, chargeback/show-back processes, audit readiness, and executive reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical and business teams to adopt cost-conscious architectures and FinOps standards widely across a regulated enterprise environment.
Benefits and Work Environment
- Comprehensive benefits package including top-tier medical insurance, group life and personal accident coverage, paid leave and travel allowances, preferential employee loan and finance rates, staff discounts, and educational assistance for children (applicable at certain levels).
- Flexible and remote working options to support work-life balance, subject to role eligibility.
- Opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth via structured courses, extensive e-learning resources, on-the-job training, and professional development programs.
ADC Bank fosters a respectful, supportive, and well-regulated workplace culture that aligns with and supports your career goals.
