Role Overview
As a Support Worker within the Enliven team, you will provide vital home-based care to clients, including the elderly, disabled individuals, and those progressing through recovery. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care tasks such as showering and dressing, managing medication, preparing meals, delivering household help, and supporting involvement in community activities. All care is tailored according to each client’s agreed plan.
Work schedules vary with availability needed across weekdays and weekends.
Candidate Profile
- Must be a New Zealand resident, citizen, or hold an eligible work visa.
- Possess either a full New Zealand driver's license or a restricted license and have access to a reliable vehicle for travel between clients (International licenses are not accepted).
- Flexible to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficient in English for reading care instructions and communicating effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong customer service abilities and enjoyment in assisting diverse people.
- Commitment to high professional standards, policies, and best practices.
- Empathy and compassion towards older adults, disabled persons, and those in recovery.
- Confidence in delivering a broad range of care and support within clients’ homes.
