Job description
Overview
The Supply Analyst will support the Midstream team at bp New Zealand to ensure a safe, reliable, and cost-effective supply chain. Key responsibilities include managing regulatory and compliance data for internal and external reporting requirements such as FIA, ETS, and MSO. The role also assists in evaluating commercial optimisation opportunities by coordinating stakeholder inputs and supporting end-to-end delivery of Midstream commercial initiatives. Additionally, the position provides backup support for Supply Operations, Demand Forecasting, Pricing, and leads continuous improvement efforts aligned with the MC&M strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and analyze data for Midstream Supply Optimisation, including evaluating supply and infrastructure commercial opportunities and mitigating exposure risks.
- Manage and prepare regulatory submissions including Fuel Industry Act disclosures, Emissions Trading Scheme, and Minimum Stockholding Obligations reporting.
- Offer operational backup support to Supply Scheduling and other critical activities within the Optimisation and Supply teams and the wider Midstream function.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams such as Supply Optimisation, Scheduling, Logistics, Infrastructure, ST&S, and external partners including terminal operators, shipping agents, ports, and other oil companies in New Zealand.
- Provide administrative assistance and support for payment processes.
- Perform ad hoc data analysis to improve asset optimisation and operational efficiency.
- Champion continuous process improvements within the group.
Required Skills and Experience

- Proven capability to work independently and take initiative.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for detailed data analysis and reconciliation tasks.
- Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, or similar Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
