Job description
Position Overview
This role is responsible for managing guest check-in procedures, confirming guest identities, processing payments, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys. The supervisor ensures accurate guest account setups according to individual needs, records loyalty program details, and confirms that room rates correspond with market codes while documenting any exceptions. Payments must be secured before room keys are handed out, with billings verified and adjusted as necessary.
Daily Operations and Reporting
The supervisor compiles and reviews daily reports, logs, and contingency lists. They complete cashier and closing reports, balance receipts, and oversee bank security at the beginning and end of shifts. Manual authorization procedures and accounting protocols must be followed meticulously. Any reports of theft are promptly communicated to Loss Prevention or Security teams.
Guest Services and Interaction
Providing guests with directions and property information is a key responsibility. Guest requests are managed by coordinating with appropriate staff members and ensuring follow-ups to confirm completion. The role involves processing various payment types, including vouchers and paid-outs, and maintaining high standards of guest service including accommodating guests with disabilities and expressing genuine appreciation.
Team Leadership and Support
The supervisor supports management by training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching team members. They act as a role model and serve as the initial contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy. Building positive workplace relationships and responding appropriately to employee concerns is essential. The role demands adherence to company policies and safety procedures, including reporting accidents and unsafe conditions.
Qualifications and Expectations
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a related role.
- At least one year of supervisory experience.
- No license or certification required.
Additional Information
This full-time position is based onsite at Ras Abu Abboud Street, Doha, Qatar. The supervisor is expected to maintain a professional appearance, uphold confidentiality of company information, and protect company assets. Communication should be clear and professional, with competence in computer and POS systems. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and handling items up to 10 pounds independently.
