Supermarket Assistant

Role Overview

As a Supermarket Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive outstanding service that reflects Waitrose & Partners' commitment to quality and passion for food. By delivering excellent customer care, you will help foster lasting trust and loyalty towards the brand.

Key Duties

• Restock shelves regularly to maintain optimal product availability and ensure items are correctly placed.
• Prepare online customer orders accurately for timely delivery drivers' pickup.
• Minimize product loss by monitoring expiration dates and applying markdowns appropriately.
• Support various shop functions such as checkout assistance, handling Click & Collect orders, and fulfilling immediate customer requests.
• Keep the store environment safe, clean, and organized through routine housekeeping tasks.

Essential Skills

• Strong communication abilities to collaborate well with customers and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous.
• Interest and current knowledge of food and beverage trends.
• Flexibility to adapt and provide support across different parts of the store as needed.
